Student meals during closure

School meals will be available to students via morning and evening pick up locations for centrally located students and schools and via daily bus drop off for students in more remote and distant areas of our district. 

MORNING CURBSIDE PICK UP will be held every Monday through Friday until May 28, 2020 from 11am – 1pm.  (No meal service on 4/10/2020 – Good Friday and 5/25/2020 – Memorial Day) Every child participant at these locations below will receive a hot lunch meal and a cold breakfast meal for the next day.  Pick up locations are: 

Animas Elementary

Bluffview Elementary

McCormick Elementary
McKinley Elementary 
Mesa Verde Elementary 

At Bluffview Elementary and Farmington High School locations curbside pick-up has been moved closer to the kitchen areas please look for the neon signs for curbside directions.   


EVENING CURBSIDE PICK UP is available for meals for the next day from 5 -7 p.m. at Central Kitchen (305 N. Court) All children/students ages 1-18 are eligible for meals at any site, not just at the school they attend. Children must be present to pick up meals. Breakfast and lunch will be served at the same time, if meals will not be eaten immediately please hold in a refrigerator promptly. All meals must be taken home, meals cannot be eaten on the school premises. Parents/Guardians should use bus loading zones for car or walking pick-ups. 

MEAL DROP OFFS will be delivered via bus Monday - Friday, until May 28, 2020. The list of areas and bus numbers are listed below. 

DURING MEAL DROP OFFS PLEASE PRACTICE RESPONSIBLE SOCIAL DISTANCING PRACTICES, MAINTAIN A SAFE (ABOUT 6 FEET) DISTANCE BETWEEN OTHER FAMILIES, AVOID HANDSHAKES, HUGS AND OTHER CONTACT, AND RETURN TO YOUR HOME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.  

Meals will be dropped Monday through Friday at designated elementary morning bus stop with a 2-hour delay. Buses will be only stopping at the  listed, designated elementary stops.    All children/students ages 1 -18 are eligible for meals at any stop. Children must be present to pick up meals. Breakfast and lunch will be served at the same time. All meals must be taken home.  If meals will not be eaten immediately please hold in a refrigerator promptly. 

SPECIAL DIET MEAL ACCOMMODATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE Based on the sheer volume and emergency status of the meals we are serving it is impossible to ensure that all required safety protocols could be properly enforced to ensure a special diet meal wouldn't come into contact with a known allergen.   The risk of cross contamination is too great and any error made could cause great harm up to even death to a child.
