P-EBT information

The NMPED and HSD will be issuing another round of P-EBT  beginning March 1, 2021. The benefit will be for free and reduced students that participate in the NSLP only for the days that students were on remote/virtual learning for the months of October 2020 and November 2020. Please read the attached current Press Release and FAQ that we have issued by clicking here. We utilized the free and reduced data that was provided to the NMPED for 80-day reporting and the data we requested of Private and BIE schools that was given the NMPED on December 31st. Please communicate effectively and share the attached information with your families so they are aware of the upcoming benefits.

Helpful Tips Parents/Guardians:

  • Keep in mind if your students were enrolled for October and November, and the school they attend is CEP or Provision 2, all students will get this benefit.

  • If the students has received the P-EBT benefit previouslythe benefit will be loaded on the existing card.

  • If families lost the P-EBT card they need to call the HSD Replacement Hotline at 1-800-843-8303 and NOT the regular P-EBT hotline as they cannot help constituents on this issue.

  • If a student is new and has not gotten a P-EBT previously it will be mailed out 7-10 business days after March 8, 2021. Parents need to try and be patient and wait until this date before inquiring or calling on the benefit.

  • If parents, guardian, or staff want to look at the status or change addresses please refer to the Yes NM website at https://www.yes.state.nm.us/yesnm/pandemic/pebt?execution=e1s1 . They can search by student ID, first name, last name or DOB.

  • For all other questions they can call the regular P-EBT hotline for HSD and PED staff can assist at 1-833-415-0569.
