Immunization Clinic July 14, 2021

Farmington Families, mark this event on your calendars!

Farmington Schools will have an Immunization Clinic for middle and high school students at Central Office (3401 E. 30th Street) on Wednesday, July 14, from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. No appointment is needed, but we encourage families to reserve a time by calling (505) 324-9840 extension 3106 (remember to leave a message). Immunizations include the Tdap and meningococcal vaccines (both required for 7th grade). We will also be offering the HPV and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines. Our thanks to our partners at SJC Public Health Department for making this event possible for our families and staff.

The CDC is cautioning school districts that fewer children are receiving routine vaccinations.  Childhood immunizations against historically preventable illnesses, such as measles, have declined drastically during the coronavirus pandemic, according to a CDC report. The report finds that an increase in these types of illnesses could make efforts to reopen schools to in-person learning this fall more challenging.

At Farmington Schools, we want to keep students and staff safe, and our immunization clinics are part of those efforts. We hope to see you there!
